Biogas domes are constructed directly to the ground so this is not a way to cover your silo, but a clever way to store your gas. Biogas domes often go together with double membrane covers. Single membrane roof

Single Membrane Structures are covered with a central column and a membrane material that is welded to shape and tensioned in place. No use is made of supporting beams here. The covers are made of membrane material that is fire resistant, sun resistant, UV resistant and reinforced.

During the design there are several aspects which are taken into consideration. For example the aspects are, amongst others: application, material, site, dimensions, special constructions, customer wishes (e.g. colour), fire class, layout of stirrers, etc. When the design is finished it is always sent to the customer for approval. When the customer approves, Membrane Systems Europe starts the production of the roof. The foil templates are first cut on a CNC machine. The templates are welded in the shape of the cover. This construction will be transported to the desirable destination where our experienced mechanics make sure the roof is fitted and fixed to the silo tank.

Double membrane roof

Double membrane roofs can be used for anaerobic digestion installations in for example the agricultural market or industrial wastewater treatment plants. Double membrane roofs are available up to a diameter of 40 meter. Double membrane roofs give you the opportunity to store more gas in your plant(s). With double membrane roofs, you are always in control of how much gas you want to take out. Double membrane roofs can be very interesting as a digester cover, especially in combination with our Biogas Domes.
