Do you have a silo to cover and are you looking for a membrane cover solution? Then Membrane Systems Europe can help you find this solution! We offer different types of membrane covers for different purposes. We can help you with a single membrane cover, a double membrane cover, or a biogas dome. These three types of membrane covers are all ways to cover your silo, but they are a bit different from each other.

Single membrane cover

Single membrane covers are roofs with a column in the center and a membrane material that is welded to shape and tensioned in place. There is no use made of supporting beams for single membrane covers. Single membrane covers are made out of a material that is fire-resistant, sun-resistant, UV-resistant, and reinforced.

Double membrane cover

Double membrane covers can be used for anaerobic digestion installations in, for example, the agricultural market or industrial wastewater treatment plants. Double membrane covers are available up to a diameter of 40 meters. Double membrane covers give you the opportunity to store more gas in your plant(s). With double membrane covers, you are always in control of how much gas you want to take out. Double membrane covers can be very interesting as a digester cover, especially in combination with our biogas domes.

Technical specifications

  • 100% High-frequency welded membranes
  • Available up to a diameter of 40 meters
  • Operating pressure up to 20 mBar
  • Lowest possible gas permeability
  • Statical calculation applied to complete installation

Biogas dome

Biogas domes are not built on an existing silo but directly on the floor. They consist of an internal membrane, an external membrane, and a bottom membrane. The gas is stored between the internal membrane and the external membrane. To make sure the biogas dome is in shape and keeps the shape, a blower provides air pressure between the internal membrane and the external membrane. The air pressure ensures the biogas dome keeps its shape in various weather conditions. It is possible to take out gas from the biogas dome without changing the shape of the external membrane.
